A Little Bit About the Angry Barber Beard Company

Angry Barber Beard Products started by Joey Kline, owner of All About Men Barber Shop located in Frederick, MD.

Barber Joe wanted to develop a product line to cater to the needs being expressed by his clients.

The products offered to you today have been tried in true in his barber shop by Barber Joes’ patrons for the last year perfecting the right consistency of scents, balms, and oils. Certain he has found success it is now being made available to you!

Sweet Almond Oil

Almond Oil Benefits and Uses

Almond oil is made by pressing raw almonds without cooking them. This is something you may have heard about in other health products, where something is “raw” or “cold pressed.” This means that little to no heat is used in the process, thereby preserving all the naturally occurring chemical compounds within the oil, so that they can directly benefit the skin.

One of the biggest secrets behind the use of almond oil for skin treatments is the high level of fatty acids contained in the final oil mixture. Fatty acids serve as a natural emollient for the skin, and can help the skin lock in moisture by forming a protective barrier. Emollients are especially effective for conditions like acne, eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is actually not an oil, but a liquid wax. It’s a melted type of vegetable wax and is found in the seeds/nuts of jojoba plant, which is an evergreen woody shrub plant that grows in hot areas, such as desert areas of California, Arizona and Mexico. It’s colorless, odorless and has a number of beauty benefits. It has a very long shelf life, so it can sit on your shower shelf for years!

The jojoba oil is the only oil that closely resembles human sebum – an oily substance naturally produced by the oil glands below the skin surface, so its uses and benefits to the skin and hair are high. It is a perfect choice for those who want to use natural products for their skin, hair and face care.

Grape Seed Oil

Grape seed oil is a preferred cosmetic ingredient for controlling moisture of the skin, and is also used as a lubricant for shaving and as a growth and strengthening treatment for hair.

1. Treat Acne

Grape seed oil contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, both of which are great for stopping acne. The oil also contains linoleic acid, which is great for promoting skin health.

2. Tighten Skin

Grape seed oil has astringent qualities that help tighten skin and clog up the pores, thus helping you avoid clogging that leads to pimples. Oily skin can especially benefit from this.

3. Moisturize

This very light oil can be used by those with even sensitive skin, and works as an excellent moisturizer that won’t clog pores. The oil can also help hasten healing of problems, such as minor abrasions or pimples.

4. Fight Aging

Fine lines and wrinkles can be alleviated with a daily dose of grape seed oil on the skin. The elasticity of the skin can be improved, thus making the lines of an aging face less pronounced

Here are the grape seed oil benefits for hair care:

Grape seed oil contains all the essential nutrients to help grow your hair faster. It contains Vitamin E, proteins, minerals and linoleic acid that nourish the hair and scalp.

Grape seed oil is light and keeps the hair moisturized. It also helps to get rid of thinning or breaking of the hair and split ends.

Being hypo allergenic, it suits even sensitive scalp and hair.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil also has many benefits to the skin. It can provide hydration and smooth out wrinkles. It can also help to heal skin prone to eczema, psoriasis, acne, and other skin conditions. Because coconut oil is naturally antibacterial, anti fungal, moisturizing and, according to research, great for atopic dermatitis. It can eliminate dandruff from the scalp, and tame dry or curly hair.

Why coconut oil is better than the average face moisturizer. And hair serum. And body lotion: “Commercial moisturizers contain lots of water, which makes you feel like your skin is being moisturized. But as soon as the water dries, your skin becomes dry again. Also, many commercial brands of moisturizers contain petroleum-based ingredients that can suffocate the skin. In contrast, coconut oil provides deep and real moisture. It helps strengthen underlying tissues and helps remove excessive dead cell on the skin’s surface that makes your skin rough and flaky in texture. It also great for shine and as a natural moisturizer for your hair.

Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp seed oil can do wonders for your hair, skin, and even nails since they are all formed from dermal cells and hemp oil is nearly identical to our own lipids. This allows it to penetrate our cells easily and effectively lubricate them. Hemp oil will nourish dry skin, blotches, and lesions as well as detoxify the skin and even out blotchy skin tone. No worries of clogging pores either.

Benefits of Hemp Seed Oil:

1.Strengthen Hair Structure

It is no wonder that our hair needs to meet hemp oil. Hemp seed oil contains gamma-linoleic acid, which improves the condition of hair and contributes to keratin formation for stronger and healthier strands.

2.Conditioning Agent

Hemp seed oil will condition your hair and scalp with the high content of vitamin E. This oil is a natural moisturizer that boosts scalp health and prevents irritation and dryness. Great for winter usage, because it combats the cold, damaging outdoor air.

3.Improves Elasticity and Softens

The lipids present in the oil increase hair’s elasticity, volume, and shine while softening the strands from the vitamin E and fatty acids. Softer, hydrated hair is stronger than dry, brittle hair, and this oil is shoring up the intercellular matrix.

Beeswax

Benefits of Beeswax for the Skin

The health benefits of beeswax for the skin are almost too many to count. Obviously, one of the best benefits of using beeswax on the skin is the moisturizing and the softening. Unlike the artificial and often petroleum based chemicals added to many moisturizers and skin care lotions to aid in absorption, beeswax contains Vitamin A and provides long-term moisturizing, actually locking moisture into the skin. Unlike petroleum based parabens, beeswax remains biologically “alive” even after it is processed!

Healing Properties of Beeswax for Skin & Allergies, Irritation

Besides offering your skin a natural moisture and glow, the anti-allergenic and anti-inflammatory properties of bees wax can actually soothe easily irritated skin, making it one of the best skin care ingredients for those who suffer from allergies or other skin problems like

Beeswax is used in many skin care products because it provides a protection against irritants while still allowing the skin to breathe. It also offers anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral benefits making it helpful in treating skin irritation. Along with being a good alternative skin care ingredient for those with allergies, the anti-germicidal properties of beeswax have been found to help heal minor skin cuts, abrasions, scrapes and wounds. Beeswax also acts as a layer of protection when applied to the skin, protecting the skin from environmental irritants and even the weather.

Shea Butter

Refined Shea Butter is most often used for cosmetics and soaps. The process to refine the butter involves extracting it from the Shea nut and filtering out any of the impurities. This results in a creamy off-white color and an extremely pure product. There is also less of an odor, which is why refined butter is the normal choice for the soap making and personal care industry

Conditions such as eczema and psoriasis contribute to hair loss. Shea butter has inflammatory properties, which help to heal us of these scalp and skin conditions and allow our scalp (and body) to re-grow hair in a healthy environment. Since unrefined shea butter has no added chemicals, it is ideal for sensitive skin.
